EDL 0.16.0 Release Notes

This document contains the release notes for EDL 0.16.0. The release was completed on May 20th 2025.

Release Summary Overview

In respect to the EDL 0.15.0 version, the new EDL 0.16.0 version integrates the following main upgrades: 

• Update of the Self-Registration page to reduce confusion
• Base images rebased on Ubuntu 22.04
• Major updates to the CI/CD setup, including automated tests and implemented code quality tools
• Migration of some services to microservices

Datalabs Editor GUI Overview

Functionalities

• Increase of shared memory for GPU datalab
• Datalab name maximum length is no longer limited to 16 characters

Bug fixing

• Ghost Datalabs cleared, build-log retrieval fixed, and “list-index-out-of-range” errors resolved, so builds start and stop reliably.
• Fixed the display of the logs while building a datalab
• Fixed datalab vertical status bar in the Launcher
• Whitelisting of ESA domain
