EDL 0.15.0 Release Notes
This document contains the release notes for EDL 0.15.0. The release was completed on December 16th 2024.
Release Summary Overview
In respect to the EDL 0.14.0 version, the new EDL 0.15.0 version integrates the following main upgrades:
- News page to publish release notes and articles
- Updates to Hamburger menu
- User Profile Details first version, to display information about the roles and computing resources assigned to the user
- Major updates to the CI/CD setup, including automated tests and implemented code quality tools
- Updates to Cosmos Sync to assign users belonging to a Cosmos LDAP group to POSIX groups and roles in ESA Datalabs
- Source code changes to improve maintainability and to prepare for EDL Open Source Licensing
Datalabs Editor GUI Overview
Functionalities
- Developers can now access to the history of build logs for a given datalab
- New procedure to allow datalab transfer ownership (needs to be requested to ESA Datalabs team via ticket)
- Release of a GPU-enabled base image for GPU datalabs
- Addition of an optional multi-media metadata field (i.e. video links)
- A startup notification is now provided to users at launch (e.g. in case datalab cannot start due to lack of system resources)
Bug fixing
- Rejected datalabs can now be resubmitted for publication (rebuild necessary)
- Export function is now operational
- Moderation is no longer skipped when submitting a new version of an already published datalab
- Fixed unusual datalab source mixed-up at build
- Fixed issue with requested resources at launch and units that were sometimes not aligned
